چکیده
Objective: This study is focused on the identification of comprehensible radiographical and clinical features for risk assessment coronectomies in horizontally impacted mandibular third molars which require surgical treatment. A classification, based a literature review well-defined algorithm, has been developed to streamline decision-making process. Methods: PubMed, OVID Medline Google Scholar search articles related keywords such as “Coronectomy, Horizontal Impacted Third Molar, Coronectomy vs Extraction” performed. Results: Only 3rd required intervention were included. The relationship apical portion roots with IAN, evaluated CBCT, was used classify tooth low, medium or high extraction. If classified total removal, it further assessed coronectomy. According our judgement, 4 indicators can beidentified relevant individual Based cumulative point score, indication coronectomy appraised ‘low risk', ‘moderate risk' 'high risk’. Conclusion: impactions lower are not necessarily be considered contraindication Our classification offers guideline process whether represents viable treatment option molars.
